Homework Children Cartoon image 1

In spring 2016 we sent out a parent and pupil questionnaire about homework. In response we have changed the homework timetable, which is attached below.

At Barford St Peter’s we believe reading is very important so this is on the timetable every night. Many parents and pupils enjoy ‘Mathletics’ and the children access it  on-line. At KS1 it is set homework but for all children it can be accessed as many times as you want during the week. Therefore it is on the timetable every day for KS2.

Other important ways you can support your children is by taking them to places of interest linked to the termly projects or helping them research for information connected to what they are studying in school.

We fully appreciate how busy families are and wholly support quality time spent together. Therefore the timetable has been compiled after much consideration by the staff and listening to the views and comments from our parents and pupils. If however your child has completed some work at home that they would like to share with the pupils and staff please send it in to school. We hold a special award assembly each Thursday morning called ‘Gold Award Assembly’ and this a perfect time to share a variety of different activities with the whole school.
